Let’s Blog About It

It seems like today, everyone has a blog. From mom’s to lego enthusiast to grocery stores. Yes- grocery stores now have blogs. Which somone who doesn’t typically blog or read blogs might ask, why would a grocery store have a blog? And what content would they even have? Well Whole Foods is one of few grocery stores that has a blog and we’re about to answer all you’re questions.

When you first go into the blog, visually, it looks like any typical website. Although, once you start scrolling there are blogs, and in these blogs, there is information on different products and some even include ingredients or information on which products can help you out. For example, on a blog about vitamins, they list which of their vitamins help fight malnutrition.

Next what I noticed was there wasn’t much interaction with the audience. There wasn’t any visible option to comment or share any of the posts. But, they did have a call to action in each post. Whether it was a link to the official website or a information (picture/video) at the bottom for people to watch and share.

Not only that, the amount of visuals on the blog is amazing. They like to provide a lot of information about a lot of products. These images allow peope to be able to differenciate different products or get a better idea of what the product looks like.

The blog looks pretty good to me but, it would have been great if the official website had a more direct way to find this blog. I went to the official website and found it difficult to find their blog.

Overall the content is well written and explained. I, personally, just would’ve like more interaction with the audience, which is people who actively grocery shop. By allowing the interaction between brand and consumer, questions are able to be answered, the brand becomes more credible and a community is built.
